   High Speed Assembly Machine

We designed and built this machine from scratch and it was easily one of the most complicated projects we ever undertook. 

The parts needed to:

1) Parts were located by a vision system.

2) Transferred the parts via a Robotic pick and place unit to a "Puck" for transport.

3) Wire lead was cut to length from a spool.

4) Lead was ultrasonically welded to the resistor.

5) A pull test as performed to verify a successful weld.

6) Resistor was then pad printed.

7) Continuity check was performed to check part.

8) Good parts were palletized by a robot on an exit tray.
